Graphics quality since latest patch.

I'm on a PS4 and recently got the 1.03 patch. What I do is, I delete everything off my PS4 and then reinstall with the latest patch and start a new game.

I read about the draw distance improvements on the PS4 but when I started a new game with the latest patch I noticed right away that the graphics weren't as sharp. I even had to readjust my TV's picture settings.

But, after playing a few days it's like I'm seeing a completely different game. All the graphics are really sharp, there seems to be much more fog and storm effects and I'm noticing other things like what seems to be better graphics when turrets fire, when people take damage, things like that. Not to mention a ton of other little improvements that aren't graphics related.

I guess my question is, is it my imagination on all this or does it take a while for graphics textures to load? As in days? Are they somehow cached and that cache has to be built up over time while you are playing?

I was complaining about how bad the graphics were since the latest patch in another thread and I feel kind of bad now because after a few days they seem to have improved drastically.

I was also experiencing sputters and stutters in my gameplay and that has stopped now. It makes me wonder if everything is cached and it just takes some time for all that to happen.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Shane
