Hi

I recently upgraded my video card & started noticing that I have big white shaped objects that appear usually around outdoor areas & terrain. This is what it looks like

I have done several clean installs of Skyrim using the disc to reinstall & steam download as well. I have no mods activated & I'm running the legendary edition of skyrim with the DLC's & High resolution texture packs activated. I verified my game files through steam & had no errors. I have tried older driver versions of my video card but i still get those damn white objects. While in game i can use the dragon shout "Storm Call" & it will get rid of these white objects but they still manage to come back after 15-30 seconds. These are my specs:

Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1

Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz

Memory: 24576MB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970

Driver Version: 10.18.13.6191

Any suggestions?

Did you happen to go from AMD to Nvidia? If so, did you use a Driver Cleaner to remove the old drivers?

What was your previous graphics card?

Did you manually delete the configuration files (RendererInfo.txt, Skyrim.ini, SkyrimPrefs.ini) in the Documents\My Games\Skyrim directory?

Did you install mods or similar that added a d3dx*.dll to the Skyrim install path?

My previous Video card was a Nvidia gtx 650. I uninstalled the old drivers through control panel / programs & features before installing the new drivers for my new card. I have not used any driver cleaner. When i uninstalled Skyrim the first time , I also deleted the Skyrim folder from the My Documents \ My Games directory. I currently have no mods installed. I have no d3dx*.dll in my C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim directory.
