What to do with Piper to get her affinity up?

Post » Tue Feb 23, 2016 2:42 am

I've been stepping back from main quests as I've gotten to the point where faction choice time seems near. I'm currently going through all the companions to get their affinity up and do their quests.

I'm currently on Piper, and she's at about affinity 624, so I assume I'll get her quest at about 750. I don't want to just go back and grind through radiant quests, and have done pretty much all small side tasks I can think of, like checking tower distress signals.

Unfortunately I failed the flirt option with here, because it came up when we were checking the relay tower signals at the glowing sea, and it was too risky to change into my charisma clothes. I'm not sure, but I don't think they give you more flirt options after you fail them.

BTW, I already know she likes it when you loot typewriters, but I'm running out of places to find them. maybe I missed the best spots though.

Piper does not have a companion quest.

Heres what you can do to get her affinity up

Find a locked door with a terminal, lock the door with the terminal and open it with lockpick, load and repeat.

Shoot dogmeat until he's dead, heals him with a stimpak while she's close. She likes it when you abuse Dogmeat, heals it, so you could abuse it some more.

Awesome, it appears you'e right. The one quest I saw listed is actually the simple questionnaire she has for you before you can make her a companion. Maybe had it not been called "Story of the Century", I'd not been duped by it. LOL

@Battle,

I don't generally use exploits to level or raise affinity, at least not in this game. It's not necessary really. It's one of the reasons I've sung praises for their having done away with the old skill tree system. I hate grinding with silly methods.

I just realized the rest of the companions I've not traveled with also have no companion quests, so I guess it's back to the story.

Find yourself a nice lock and pick it just the way she likes it. Find just the right spot, and she will idolize you in no time.

Piper is pretty straightforward!
Just be a good guy, help people, and open locked chests/safes etc. (she likes that).

Your comment offends me.
Have you no shame...?

She's a standard "good person" character.

So you know what to do.

And lockpicking amazes her.

Just remember only to pick non-owned locks. If you break into something someone owns, she doesn't like it.

Just don't pick owned locks, such as somebody's house. It's one of her turn offs.

Be annoyingly nice to everyone you talk to, don't ever ask for extra reward money - even if you have the charisma to do so. Grrr
