Would you still join the BOS or Institute if you had to...

The BOS made you kill Curie and Nick Valentine

and the institute made you enslave Curie and Nick Valentine.

hypothetical - imagine it was part of the main quest -

i know the railroad arent great, but people talk about them as extremists. If you judge the other 2 by their fundamentals, then surely the above 2 actions hold true as future hypothetical actions, no?

i mean, the bos wanted to kill danse - curie and nick valentine are therefore no brainers. the institutes vision is very clear.

so, id be interested in peoples thoughts.

fyi, i joined the institute, and no i wouldnt enslave curie and nick. despite how bad *** the paint job is.

damn, a black paint job would be insane aswell.

This is why the game needs ending slides.

But I'm doing all factions regardless.

Couldn't care less about Curie. May be hesitant to do it to Nick, but orders are orders. I'll destroy the BoS if they touch Danse. No one touches my husbando. :(

You are the director, you can veto the order if you want. There is no need for the Institute to even care about Nick since they dumped him like yesterday trash. Curie is just one synth among many, and she WANTS to go to the Institute to talk to the man of science. She would be more useful to them with researches. The BoS is different of course.

I find Curie a bit too short sighted in term of her morality. She hates killing even when the person deserves it like McDonald. I prefer more realist companions like Cait and MacCready.

Well, as I said, I would destroy BoS if they plan to do something with Danse, I would be hesitant with Nick, but probably still carry out the order, but wouldn't care either ways with Curie. It's just basically end up being how deep I care about those characters vs. how alliance to the faction. In the Institute, I probably carry out all the orders, since my characters don't care much for Danse, Nick, or Curie, but I would rather become enemies with the BoS rather than killing Danse. I may care more about Nick and Curie if I decide to do a Minutemen route. My character each have a different viewpoints, and whether they defend any of the synths you mentioned would depend on their ideology. My Institute character is ruthless and is basically "the end justifies the means" kind of guy. My BoS character is acted on emotion. My Minutemen character is probably more idealistic which would care more about synths like Curie and Nick.

Seeing as the story needs a damn good reason to tell me why I cant reject that quest at this point and why Institute would give a BLEEP about them while they fight the BoS and Railroad, I'd need to understand the storyline changes. Which must be major for this to happen.

In any case, the choice is: kill two people (whom I may save later on by restoring their memory... speaking of which, Nick could use a new body) OR kill my son, commit a genocide and betray my chosen faction. From all angles... it's the same choice.

I just hate missing out, so ya even if I had to do what you suggest I would indeed.

I gotta say the speed at which and the venom some of the BOS had turning on Danse, Really Irked me.

Then I though (being Railroady) Man all I have to do is get the BOS Med records, And we can have them purge themselves out of existance. With some False info of our own, (would also work with Institute) heheh

Since my BOS character is ready to murder an entire society, whats two toasters more or less. Though why the BOS would want resources expended killing a Mrs Handy and a discarded non-hostile Gen2+ Synth are beyond me.

My Institute character will do it and then as soon as I am Director countermand the order, Mrs. Handy(Curie) and Nick go free.

Yes. Although I'm sure as Director I could get a reprieve for Curie, or at least get her assigned somewhere pretty comfortable.

Don't really care about Nick tbh.
