I haven't seen anything about this, so maybe you guys can help. I first noticed this when I was going to negotiate in Diamond City. I switched my upgraded synth helmet (which I loved and can't seem to find another of) for my General's Hat. Next thing I know, when I went to put the Helmet back on, it's gone. I looked all over on the ground in Diamond City, checked all of my workshops, etc. It just disappeared.

Just now I had to swim to Spectacle Island. I donned my Hazmat suit and as soon as I showed up, my Legendary combat armor chest piece is gone. I can't find it anywhere.

What I'm getting from this game is your not allowed to switch clothing based on situations....WTF?
