Will I be able to run Fallout 4?

Post » Thu Feb 25, 2016 3:04 pm

I already know that my current rig can't, the game refuses to even launch.

I'm currently running an:

Intel Core I7 920 Clocked @2.67gh

Gtx 260

6gb's of some off-brand memory

An old alienware board

500gb hdd x2

I ordered a GTX 950 Windforce OC and 12gb's of G.SKILL Sniper.

Once I install these will My aging cpu be a problem, or will it be adequate for at least low.

I'm fairly informed about pc parts, but I'm not too sure on this.

Yes you should be able to run the game but it will put a strain on your CPU.

As mrsprings posted above, that goes to that thread: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1580196-unofficial-can-my-pc-run-fallout-4-thread-9/

Even so, the GTX 260 can't and will not play Fallout 4 (and that's pretty normal) as it is a DirectX 10 capable GPU, and Fallout 4 needs at least a DirectX 11 GPU.

The GTX 950 will give you the change to play at 1080p, if tou tweak the settings of Fallout 4 at the options menu.
