Far Harbor factions

Based on what was released I imagine some of Far Harbor will play into those we have already alighned to. Destroy the synth colony if the brotherhood, protect it if the Railroad, or repossess them if the institute.

My hope though is that the aligning with the locals provides perhaps a counterbalance with the Minutemen. Perhaps the locals value order over freedom, or are more raideresque -Viking-ish perhaps and by siding with them it can set off a Civil War in the commonwealth between you and Preston requiring a conquering of the old settlements and an establishing of a new order.

Of course if you side against the Far Harbor faction you would fight to bring the ideals of the Minutemen to Far Harbor.

...So a Caesar's Legion faction basically? The literal inversion of everything the Minutemen stand for?

Sounds like a good faction, provided it's well written-----which is a big "if".

Like other Beth DLC I assume there are no real interconnection between what happens at Far Harbour and happens in Boston.

Faction wise I guess three factions, locals, children of the atom and the synths.

Synths I'm guess might actually be an Institute experiment. That way they only need to cover wiping the colony out as an option, and "free the synths" Railroad or Minutemen style is accomplished by completing the main quest on the mainland. Then they can focus on just whatever the Far Harbor plotline will be, which is preferably independent of the main quest aside from a few comments, like every other new landmass expansion they've done.

I honestly don't care about factional quests and how they tie into the main quest. What I want is an island full of mystery and weird occultism happening everywhere, with separate questlines that have little to do with main story and what not.

I seriously don't care about Institute, railroad, brotherhood or anyone. They all bore me.
