Any decent youtube content for FO:4?

Post » Sat Feb 27, 2016 12:42 am

Hi folks :liplick:

Was wandering if there are any decent Youtube content providers out there doing 'good' FO:4 walkthroughs or settlement guides?

Specifically I'm looking for settlement ideas - practical settlements not the big scale, high rise, 'would never happen' in a wastleland setting settlements lol. Preferably without a shed load of mods (which I think spoil the game) and take it so far beyond the vanilla game (a lot of content providers did this with Skyrim and it 'bugged me' a lot). I can't do mods (xbox one) so there is no relevance/interest to me with unlimited resources and build capacity etc.

Also are there any content providers that do walkthroughs of a decent length with no commentary and don't do 15 minute sound bites, face cam 'ain't I the most awesome funniest - please support me via patreon, guy/gal ever on youtube like foreverrrrrrrrrrrrr' - YAWN!! Oh and it would be cool if they actually finished the game and did more than the main quest line - you know like exploring the wasteland. I'm starting to sound like a spoilt brat but all I want to see is decent (for me) content without the bull turds that come floating by

Guess you could call it advlt not childish content - maybe?

I know I can play the game and have done a hell of a lot (currently doing a melee build) but I find it entertaining to watch someone else go through the game without all the BS of self promotion/backside licking/love me because I do video content BLAH BLAH BLOODY BLAH?

Anyone? :goodjob:

edit: I ain't asking if anyone one here has video content as I don't want any of you to get 'told off' by mods for self promotion etc and if it breaks any rules by asking about YT content - sorry :liplick:

Thanks PCDug....I am currently watching the adventures of Frank on Gophers channel - got to admit his 'run'!! out of covenant line at the end of an episode was darn funny :celebration:

In regards to mods I agree with this walkthrough but I didn't enjoy his skyrim walkthrough - too many mods and made the dragons look 'too 'op' for my taste but hey to each their own as the saying goes lol

Yeah being you a console player his Richard heavily modded playthrough might have looked a bit alien to you perhaps. His fallout 4 one is still nicely grounded i the vanilla feel,so I guess that's fine.

Jug! Jug! Jug! He even has a new one out 50 tips for settlement building. And everything is done on PS4, so no mods required

Wow, I thought I was the only one who watched gopher...I use youtube on my console and don't pay attention to his "followers/views" I kind of stumbled upon him after weeding out a lot of others. So I too recommend him I just binged a his last few mod eps.

Edit: I never really watched any of his or anyone elses walkthrough/settlement building, just his weekly mod vids and his thoughts on fallout and its features.

As everyone says. Gopher is great.

I want to give a shout out to Jug though. This guy is meticulous with the base building and works wonders without mods. He is playing on ps4 and it is crazy what he accomplishes.

2 that I watch for settlement builds are HausofKlaus and norespawns. Haus has under a 1000 subs I believe so not well known. I enjoy his work, he does use a PC and as of recent he has used mods. He streams on twitch also. Norespawns uses the PS4 so no mods, just the rug glitch and settlement size glitch. Norespawns has a little under 20k subs. He is very creative and where I get most of my ideas from.

This is Haus newest video at coastal cottage

TheGamingLemon, his fallout funtage made me laugh. No helpful or practical advice in anyway whatsoever, but funny, to me at least.

EvilViking13 has been doing settlements with the goal of what if Bethesda themselves had done them as part of the game. Uses mods but only because settlement building is horribly incomplete, everything looks lore accurate - a lot of the mods are simply to access things Bethesda used in level design but did not make available to settlements (concrete barriers, sandbags, replacing broken floors/walls, adding clutter, etc.)

After showing off the build he spawns in NPCs to test out defenses which is fun to watch.

Main reason why Gopher is keeping it close to Vanilla as possible so he can get ideas on what needs to be modded for him and as well for reviewing mods since it is important to know what was modified.

I do like watching his lets plays and I think his FO4 is his best one. I really like his Settlement Videos
