For whatever reason, I've always found that look really beautiful, and just far easier on the eyes. A friend and I already tried converting the old mod just for my personal use, but we failed terribly. I have no idea how much work it would entail, but if anyone manages to do something similar for New Vegas, I'd be eternally grateful!

And if anybody besides me is interested in this, by all means, post and show your support! The more people that want it, the more likely it is to eventually happen!
