Video Quality Question

Post » Sat Feb 27, 2016 7:03 pm

I play FO4 using XBoxOne console and a new VIZIO LED TV. Good quality setup, and I really enjoy it.

BUT, when I go onto YouTube for tutorials, demonstrations, etc., some of the video quality there just seems 100 times better than mine. Why can't I get the clarity, depth of field, brilliance on my setup that I am seeing on YouTube?

You may be watching videos from the Pc version, which can be push much higher with the graphics settings, plus the use of ENB's can push the quality even higher if the player has the hardware to do it.

What are the specs of your Vizio LED HDTV? If you don't know, find the box or write the model # here.

OP never said he goes on YT from PC. You can go to YT from console too. I do on XB1.

I meant he was watching videos made on the PC version of the game. Or might have been.

So? Videos recorded from the PC version should look identical regardless of the platform you watch them on.

Those videos are indeed likely from modded PC version. While the recent patch did improve visuals in console versions, PC version can still go much further.

I imagine that consoles are going to see their game running at a capped FPS and speed. It is the nature of console gaming.

My new pc is made for high-end gaming so it does look a lot better than what a console (now a couple years old) will see, but it comes at a price!!

The consoles are running a fairly restricted video setup. Here is a link to all three:

Now that computer is running a pretty low set of options to keep it close to the consoles. My setup with a GTX 780 pushing 2560x1600 makes that look just pitiful. That's to be expected but if I drop to HD, it still is far nicer.

I could make vids but only the 4k TVs and the nice 2560x1600 monitors can view em' as they were made.

Just like one guy up there said, if the player was using PC version, he can use mods to:

- Enhance color, brightness, and contrast internally from the game

- Enhance texture maps resolution

- Enhance the video output resolution which results crisper picture

Meanwhile, we console users are locked in one optimal settings that's suitable for our console spec.

Remember, your TV is just a video output. Your console processes and transfers it to your TV. No matter if your TV is ultra awesome king edition, as long as your system can't supply it well, then it still won't be well.

PS: X1 and PS4 can run this game max at 1080p. If your TV is very very large, you may see pixelation.
