During the Show No Mercy quest, the vertibird was destroyed on the ground, by BoS recruits having target practice!!

So, I tried to reset the quest with the console

but now, it is STOPPED, not shown in quest log

and setstage doesn't have any effect

Any way to recover ??

Reload a save from before you started the quest. I don't know your details, but I've had the vertibird explode on landing and just continued on with the quest. It didn't occur to me that it would stop anything from going forward. I've also done the quest without the vertibird (walked into the quest location). I think it's a pretty forgiving quest.
