A victory for the BoS.

Post » Tue Mar 01, 2016 8:37 am

Ensures their dominance. Liberty Prime is active, and V2 saw him get multiple upgrades compared to when we took on the Enclave.

Multiple factories across the Commonwealth that have unlimited potential.

Mass fusion is under BoS control, again offering unlimited possibilities of what can be gleaned to enhance their weapons.

All those Technical documents!

The X-111 compound that has been developed that far exceeds what radaway is capable of.

All those APCs/tanks, it would take some time for the BoS to get them up and running, but they are a huge force multiplier.

A BoS victory insures they will see a huge expansion in their technological capabilities, medical capabilities, and staying behind as Sentinal with the help of the MM the Commonwealth can truly become a safe haven under the BoS flag.

Ad Victorium!

Yeah there wasn't much of a victory around these parts, atleast for them. When I stood there on a pile of burning mess, I was like "You know what that smells like?......Victory!"

The Brotherhood is fine as long as you don't care that the Brotherhood limits technological progression. Only safe technology is made available while risky technology will be destroyed or buried. Technology like Nuclear power plants would not be possible since the Brotherhood would stop any research related to nuclear bombs.

How can the Institute say anything when I happily led Liberty Prime to the Institute and gladly blew it to pieces?

You must be mistaken, time for your reprogramming. I'm sure you look forward to returning to your duties.

Isn't there a settlement that needs your help? Let me mark it on your map.

The Brotherhood is the only other faction besides The Institute to get destroyed in all three other endings.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a BoS victory when it comes time for Fallout 5. (Although we probably won't hear anything about it at all)

You forget that the BOS knows where RR HQ is. Unless you destroy the BOS, the RR is going to be destroyed, especially since it's clear the BOS and RR are still at war with each other.

Also, the BOS is only destroyed in TWO endings (the Institute and RR ending). Destroying the BOS with the MM is completely OPTIONAL.

Actually haven't had any of those in a while. Preston no longer gives me any of those anymore.

@warpenergybot - sorry the quote function isn't working for me for some reason.

As someone else pointed out in a different thread, the Railroad have been 'destroyed' numerous times by the Institute, and yet they always manage to pick themselves back up. They've had leaders killed, bases wiped out, and agents slaughtered. But they've always come back.

Good point on the optional thing - I should have said 'with all quests completed'. Generally Bethesda put this stuff in the game intentionally, though - I mean, you can't get a quest from Preston to destroy the Railroad even if you go out of your way to piss them off. But you can with the Brotherhood. Why? Because they intentionally designed the Brotherhood to be pointedly destroyed.

Actually, the RR does fight the MM if you don't evacuate

Preston also hates you if you don't evacuate, and effectively denounces you as a mass murderer. So I think that's less an active scripting of the Railroad being destroyed and more a scripting of 'everyone hates you, why did you do that!?', much the like the FEV tainted water purifier in F3.

To be fair it's worth noting that in true Bethesda fashion we'll probably only get a vague remark about how The Institute is no longer a threat and none of these discussions matter anyway B)

But they only hate you for destroying the toasters, not for killing the Institute people.
