Check out mod Functional Displays - I have my cool weapons displayed all over the place.

I hope they add the possebility of cleaning up settlements, and scraping and repairing the prexisting structures and hopefully some new build sets that allow me to build something that doesnt resemble a shanty town(am aware of mods that allow all of that already and am using some but wud still be nice to have some of those options avilable in base game).

Robot Home Defence mod lets you create Synth settlers which is the closest you'll get I think as the Institute just ain't keen on Synths going anywhere
