Downgrade Patch for the Graphical Glitches

Post » Fri Mar 04, 2016 1:15 pm

To the powers that be:

Fair to say there are quite a few post about the graphical glitches or the "Interstellar Glitch" after patch 1.3 and still persist into 1.4. While a long term solution seems long-term in the making.
Could we please get patches to roll back to version 1.4.132 -> 1.2.37. Any patch to rollback to 1.2.37 for the time being? Most that got hit with the awesome custom Interstellar Graphics can attest to the game working fine at that point v1.2 and that is all we want to do is play your game.

As it is now the only way to downgrade is from a patch a player made; his post has more than 15k views I would guess at least 5k downloads.

It seems like it would be easy enough for an OFFICAL downgrade patch, which would be faster to make than some person in France on his spare time, and doesn't care about the Interstellar glitch, he only cares about speed runs and it would much safer for you customers that do risk downloading, and obviously would buy time to address problem in current versions while many can happily keep playing on the older ones.
Isn't their like some ambitious go getter in the mailroom just waiting for his chance to impress someone? How about some young intern you guys can stop hitting on for 5 minutes or stop passing around and giving crap jobs like paint your mom's houses, washing your cars, restriping the parking lot long enough where they could do some real work and whip up a patch???

post a msg or bump if you support downgrade patches.

Thank you....

Got hit with automatic update from steam. So here is how to start Steam in offline mode and it shouldn't update version of game if you use lower version.

first make sure you've set Steam to remember your password.

Then open your steam directory search for loginusers.vdf or go to STEAM/config/loginusers.vdf and just open with notepad.

and add the value WantsOfflineMode to 1 to the end of the script. If you don't want warning about launching Steam in offline mode just do the same with SkipOfflineModeWarning. After the quote marks at end of your time stamp numbers hit enter and add:

"WantsOfflineMode" "1"
"SkipOfflineModeWarning" "1"

You have to set file to READ ONLY or steam will change it back.

it should look like text below.

"users"
{
""
{
"AccountName" ""
"PersonaName" ""
"RememberPassword" "1"
"Timestamp" "<0101010101>"
"WantsOfflineMode" "1"
}
}
