And the Overseer said, let there be Scrapping

Given that crafting is now part of this game, I tried to do what I do in Fallout 4 when I need crafting materials.

Which is to go into my Storage, find all the unused outfits and weapons, then break them down for components.

Sadly, this is not possible in Fallout Shelter.

But I think it would be a good feature, if you need components, break something down to get more.

Can you please introduce Scrapping for Fallout Shelter?

Scrapping at this point would sort of defeat the purpose of crafting, since by now most people that have played the game would have loads of stuff to scrap, and then immediately craft better gear. The intend was to play the game to accumulate, which only works if you start with near zilch.

I, initially, liked the idea of scrapping, but comrade_daelin has a point. Crafting would get old real fast.

Game logic: you can make a Laser Rifle from old cameras, desk fans and magnifying glasses, but you can't make one from a rusty Laser Rifle. :nope:
