Superman's one flaw is actually his main strength and he has to be pushed far enough to overcome as we've seen in the first movie. His good heart limits him to what he can really do as it can hurt other innocent people.

I know it's just the movies, but a point was made by Fiora. His sense of morality can hold him back.

Will probably catch it on On Demand when it comes out on that, just for the appearance of Wonder Woman. Never really been a fan of DC otherwise.

Not interested in yet another reboot of Batman. Maybe I would've been interested if they'd carried on from where the Nolan films left off, maybe with Levitt as Nightwing?

First of I did not like the actor for Batman. Second I did not like the acting of the bad guys, the exception was Heath as the Joker and that was just barely passable for me.

I really liked the 1989 Batman movie since I found Micheal Keaton did a great job as the Dark Knight and Jack did a great job as the Joker. The second one was just alright, and then the rest just became garbage.

As for Superman I only loved the first 2 and to me Christopher Reeve did a great job with that roll. The other movies that came after were just awful but still better than the reboot .

The movie is pure fun, not even an ounce of grit here. Close to Mummy in tone. All fantasy, it has its own universe. First 30 minutes has more action set pieces than other recent attempts and it is non-stop action. No mind-blowing twists but there are many surprises and the movie goes all the way with its story, I like the world-building a lot. The effects are fantastic with perfect compositing which made me do multiple double takes, humanoid creature effects were very rough though.

Batman Begins' last act is insanely disappointing, scarecrow not used enough. Dark Knight is all about corruption but this isn't that kind of movie so it kinda fell flat at parts. Rises is the most complete offering but it has its own issues, Bane was awesome though. So they are not as perfect as Internet make you believe. I still quite enjoy them. My favorite is Batman Returns because DeVito.

I will watch everything. Zack Synder is one of the better directors out there. Man of Steel was a bit disappointing, they had to get out an origin story and that other story at the same time. Since the origin story problem is out of the way, maybe they will deliver this time.

I have no hype towards Batman vs Superman at all. If I ever see it, it will probably be years from now when it's on TV and I'm feeling bored.

Pretty much agree with everything you said. I find the films by Christopher Nolan to be incredible overrated, I just don't see the appeal. The Prestige was ok-ish though.

I used to think Michael Keaton was a good Batman as a kid. But I recently saw the '89 version with advlt eyes and could not watch the Keaton scenes. Jack Nicholson as the Joker was still great though.

Maybe they had the wrong expectations then? I'll still Redbox it regardless. Don't see myself going to the movies anytime soon anyways.

It is related to the Oscars controversy, I think. The movie is exactly what the trailers suggest.

People saw it as a movie with Egypt in the title which is a perfect opportunity to cast non-white-Americans(and non-white-British and non-white-Australians). Expectations were set at the title, conclusions came with first trailer.

PS. Prestige and Memento are top 5 material. Nolan is an interesting filmmaker, he is getting better with action too(Interstellar was stellar).

Eh. My dad wants to go see it together, so I'll be going. Though I'm not interested in a movie featuring Superman as he's just boring as a Superhero.

I like Batman though.
