Danse stuck in restroom stall.

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2016 6:40 am

In "Call to Arms", Danse keeps getting stuck in a restroom stall at Arclight, and I can't get him out. I've gone back and reloaded at the entrance several times to no effect. This is on Xbox. Anyone else have a similar problem?

There is a pre-quest before that ArcJet mission: You need to stalk Danse for 24 hours and make sure he doesn't eat any squirrel on a stick. Do that first and you'll succeed.

It's hard to go wearing power armor. You would think those things have an internal bladder, but sadly no.

He can't use the restroom if you keep staring at him.

ROFL You also need to warn him about eating red squirrels, they are even more "explosive" in nature or when nature calls?

Lol not a helpful suggestion in here, just jokes.. kinda funny. Maybe try to lure an enemy in there and see if a firefight gets him out?? Or shoot him till he drops and hopefully when he gets back up he moves outta there, don't know if that'll make him hostile or not but you have a save already right? Both might be worth a shot.

It sounds a bit dodgy to me as he has never gone near the rest rooms when escorting me and any companion through Arcjet Systems.
How did he get in there, if you know?

I'd try a couple of ways to prevent him going back into the bathroom if you have a save from before he enters it.

- Right before he gets to the restroom save the game and exit. When you reenter he should re-evaluate what he's supposed to be doing and go in the correct direction.

- You can get in his way physically. It might keep him out (might not; depends on how determined he is to go in there).

You should go into the next stall and side your foot under the divider. Worked for Larry Craig.

God, I feel like a straight man at a convention of comedian school dropouts. I suppose I should have seen it coming.

Simply just move on without him. You get far enough away he will suddenly appear with you. Happens all the time to me with all of the companions.

Yep, best advice so far. I've experienced this as well. Companions get "lost" but get far enough away and they usually reappear.

Danse isn't acting as a companion in ArcJet. He leads the way through the building and doesn't follow the player. He moves from location to location in the buildlng as you meet quest objectives. There may be one point in the quest when he may be teleported to your location, but that's near the end and I'm not sure it would happen if you hadn't completed the quest to that point before getting to that location.

Yeah, you're right about that. I forgot that he wasn't following.

Even when a NPC isn't your companion but is still part of your party, like several NPC that tag along for quests, they will still teleport to you if you get too far away from them. The trick is you still have to head to the quest objective. If you go back towards the exit they will not appear. Its the same reason they will suddenly appear when you take the elevator even though they are not on it they will appear in it with you or on the next floor.

I guess you should just reload it.

You can try luring an enemy to him, but I think it'll be just a waste of time and most likely he'll still stuck even after he's able to kill them.
