Scariest places, events, and characters?

Post » Sat Mar 05, 2016 9:13 pm

After reading a few threads here in the forums, I felt like making this one, specifically about places, events, or characters in Fallout 4 that you guys found scary, creepy, or otherwise unsettling. Just for fun!

I haven't experienced everything in this game, but so far I found Dunwich Borers to be the scariest place in the game. The Museum of Witchcraft was creepy (especially the jump-scare mannequin at that one point)...up until you learn the truth of the place. I sadly rushed through Parson's insane asylum for the Cabot quest, so I didn't get to see if anything about it was creepy (it is my first assumption about any insane asylum in fiction).

There's plenty of unsettling things. The person that hung himself in the garage with the wife upstairs in the bath tub dead. The couple in the trailer near one of the settlements ( I forget which one, theres a wandering protectron around it) The wife is on the floor next to the bed in a defensive posture with the hubby sitting in a chair with its head blown off, pistol next to it. The Fens sewer.

Is the Fens sewer the East/West Pike tunnel? If so, I remember really hating that place due to how many Ferals there were, and it was a very long trek.

Correct me if I'm wrong!

No its right outside Diamond City, it is a marked location. It seems to be the hiding place of a serial/mass murderer from the old days, it has holotapes from the killer as well as "trophies" left behind, as you venture through it.

oh yeah the talk of trophies reminds me, Pickman's Gallery was the creepiest place. It's also real messed up what he says at the end, "you're just like me"... he even managed to talk me out of killing him at first. Of course I went back and stabbed him to death with his own knife.

The death maze in the carpark next to Fallons was kind of freaky...

I suppose people will say Witch Museum but for some reason I wasn't scared by that place, nice try though...

I would say Suffolk county charter school was pretty creepy.

I really love creepy things. I think that both Pickman`s gallery quest and Covenant quest are creepy in a good way. Pickman

Spoiler
kinda reminds me of Dexter.

Some of the vaults are creepy too.
