Fallout 4 Script Extender help...

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2016 10:19 am

I posted this over in the Nexus thread but figure it might get more traffic here. Anyway, it seems that anytime NMM updates F4SE stops working. I'm on the latest update of F4SE and I keep getting either, "Access Denied" or "You Do Not Have Proper Pesmissions to Run this Application" or "Can not find the file" errors every time I try to run F4SE. Does anyone know what is causing this and how do I fix it?

Fallout 4 is on update 1.4.132 and F4SE is also up to date. I'm on Windows 10 64 bit.

Oh, by the way, this affect Fallout 4 launcher as well. About 99% of the time I get these errors even if I try to launch Fallout 4 from the launcher.

Sounds like you are not logged into your desktop as an Administrator, or you have Steam, NMM installed in the Programs Files folders. If the later, you should move your game (Steam) installations out of Program Files into a separate folder on your HDD. Program Files folders are considered System Protected in Win 10 and causes a lot of issues with permission and elevated privileges.

I am logged in as an Administrator and neither NMM or Steam are installed on the OS drive. They are on separate drives.

On an unrelated note...or maybe it's related I'm not sure but Windows 10 gives me a lot of problems with everything. I got a notice to upgrade my video drivers so I open Nvidia Experience to upgrade the drivers and it refuses to install the drivers. So I have to uninstall everything then reinstall it. I spend more time trying to get [censored] to work on Windows 10 than I actually do doing anything on it.
