I wish there were non companion romance options like in Skyrim. Why not? Who would you like to romance if you could?

My picks would be the cute secretary of Nick or the cute school teacher in vault 81. Lucy Abernathy is pretty cute too.. I am sure she is old enough if she's interested in Hawthorne. Also One of the scientists at the DC Science place I thought was pretty hot lol(the one that didnt give you the quest and didnt want to be disturbed)

I forgot about them. I remember wanting Haylen too. I hated killing her when the time came, I wanted there to be a way to have her go meet up with Danse to escape the fall of the BoS.... but even after I went out of my way to side with her in Danse's defense, she never mentioned it again and turned hostile during the police station raid.

She will mention and thank you after the ending. The BoS is her family, just because you spare Danse doesn't change the fact that you destroy them.

I think the only way you could spare her is not to do the railroad questline. I do wish you could convince her to leave the brotherhood. I'd have her and Danse join the Minutemen.

Even if they join the Minutemen, it doesn't change the fact that you destroy their family and friends, so they wouldn't have forgive you otherwise if you destroy the BoS, and if you don't destroy the BoS, then it doesn't matter whether they are with the BoS or the Minutemen in the first place.

I'd argue it would matter if let the BOS live. Scribe Haylen already has doubts and we already know the story with Danse. You could have someone like Knight Rhys trying to convince her to stay.

Well, there is at least one non-companion one night stand one can pursue out there. It's the only one I know of.

Yes, even then, that doesn't mean she would want to see the BoS burn. I don't see her betraying the BoS, at least, she just leaves the BoS.

But I 'm not talking about the BOS burning. I'm just talking about the Minutemen destroying the institute and having her leave. Being enemies with the Brotherhood is optional. So why not take the option to not attack them if you don't have to.

What about Magnolia at the Third Rail? And you actually can romance her. When you go on a "date" you wake up at the Hotel Rexford.

I don't see what's the point or what the difference it would make if either the Minutemen or the BoS wins. If the BoS remains friendly, what difference does it make whether she's a BoS or a Minutemen member?

Now That would have been awesome! I know I read Haylen's computer or something and she mentioned being sick of BoS's "hypocritical" ideals or something. I was like... you should leave and join me at sanctuary or something lol Danse and Her joining the minutemen would be awesome and they could run the military intel operations.

Yea I know killing the BoS would be enough to make her and Danse hate me but if I decided to not kill the BoS it would be nice for an option. It would make a difference RP wise to have them join the MM. Not game mechanically important... just a fun concept. Same deal with having Li leave the institute to re-join the BoS. For me, it didnt matter in the end as she was either going to die in the institute when I destroyed it or the BoS when I destroyed them... lol I felt like that was a waste of time convincing her to leave the institute.... two quests later I'm shooting her in the face in order to plant bombs on the prydwen lol....

For starters it would make for great character development for her, Secondly as Chikepanther pointed out she's questioning the methods of the brotherhood, finally she could speak and work with Danse again. I feel this would serve as a way to find closure with Danse's story arc and would make more character development for Haylen, Maxson, and the brotherhood in general. They now have to deal with a problem where thier weapons and armor are meaningless. He either let's her go or tries to convince her to stay.
