Starting to feel disapointed with power armor..

It didn't bothered me much before but now I'm starting to feel the power armor are just disapointing for their lack of true customization.

For starters, I find the lack of worth in changing their pieces to another (for obvious reasons) is just a shame becasue you could brin all sorts of different combinations if they were not impared by their armor resistance, maybe if they were made as tiers (light, medium, heavy) it could proboly make em more worth while then they are right now.

The lack of aesthetic changes when you mod your power armor also feels like a waste of potential there for personalization, a obivous example is the the tesla coils mod that could change the appearance of your X-1 power armor just like the original Conclave tesla power armor.

Not only that but the paintings you get are so limited as well and making them inacessible or limited to one specific type of armor makes it almost like the devs used that on the sole pourpose to make the other less power power armor relevant later in the game (wich they don't).

Thats just a litte criticism I have for the power armors in fallout 4, I still love the changes the devs made, it was realy needed, but I realy wanted to bring up a bit of what was missed with its rework and hopefully when the mods are officialy avaible we will see some of those points brought into light to enjoy those bad boys even more.

Developers have only so much time, money, people and other resources to spend. In previous Fallouts there was no customization of power armor. It was just piece of equipment in inventory. Now there is ability to customize it and they turned power armor in to essentially a unique vehicle. That's huge improvement. I rather like when developers spend their resources on story, fighting system an other aspect of the game with larger impact then on creating miriad of insignificant customization of a small subsystem of the game. I mean it's always nice to have more options, but there is also matter of rational scale.

As long as power armor is concerned, developers deserve some praise rather then whining, since they improved the game in this regard.

They will most likely release more as time goes by. I don't like how stat increases are tied in with the paint as they are more likely to influence the colour that the design aesthetics

They sure do deserve praises, but they need to hear the CRITICISM over their work as well, otherwise they will just get stuck with ''thats okay, the community can mod later'' and thats what I'm most worried about since I don't think they did a good job in the story and the development of the map is still up to be decided until the DLCs come up, right now for me at least, its found wanting.

Well, I like the map, not sure what exactly you dislike there. Terrain and building modeling is superb and map feels full. As for story, it's not worst then in previous Fallouts. What's lacking in my opinion is quality of dialogues and quest complexity. On the other hand, thanks to simpler quests and dialogues, Fallout 4 is less buggy then any other Bethesda game, so it have it's benefits :) (I would still prefer better quest and dialogue structure thou).

I don't like it much because part of it is a great body of water with litte to no content for you to explore but as I said, it will most likely to change with the DLCs, the Story I end up generalizing too much, what you point out is what I think as well.

I think the quests becoming a farming simulator isn't any excuse considering all other aspects of the game are still lacking in some way or another, its pretty much what Todd Howard said, ''they did too much'' and the game end up becoming rather ''robotic'' for it.
