Any Benefit of Stats Above Ten?

Post » Mon Mar 07, 2016 3:06 pm

I've been playing for a couple weeks and have finally gotten people to natural tens in stats. When they have natural tens, is there any point to them wearing outfits that buff the stat further? I've noticed that when I drag them into rooms with buffing outfits on, it still says 10, not 12 or 13.

So should I be putting them in lucky outfits or outfits that buff endurance for the added HP instead of the "matching" outfits?

Endurance yes, everything else, no. At least as far as I can tell. If you level up with 10+5 endurance, you get more health than just 10.. but room production doesn't seem to be effected.

One weird exception being the barbershop. I noticed that when I sent someone there, it said 12, because they had a +charisma item on. Great, I guess. The absolute least consequential room in the game. I guess they were able to get a haircut slightly faster.

My experience is different, I find they do make a difference, I put a +7 luck on a maxed it dweller and I got two rushes at 0% rather than just 1. Also used a +5 agility and the restaurant did produce quicker, so in my experience, yes they do make a difference.

E is by far the best though, don't rank anyone up without their E being 10 and equip with the highest E rank clothing you can. The difference in hp is significant once they have ranked up.

Wasteland explorers with Endurance over 10 don't receive radiation damage. Which means you can replace all of your science labs with something more useful.

And yes, higher stats do increase production inside the vault.

None of that displays when you move a dweller to a room, but I only tested it the radio station. I guess that must be the one place exceeding 10 doesn't matter.

It doesn't display in the little drag-people-over-a-room stat, but if you check the production timer on the room it does go down if you increase stats above ten. The interface doesn't know how to count above ten.
