Things I'd like to see in the future

More base weapons such as a slimmer assault rifle, maybe something like a plasma missle type launcher, return of the Tesla cannon, an improvement of the MIRV on the Fatman (I think the range is too little, they could just scrap the canister idea and instead just split one Mini Nuke into 4) and more mods to put onto weapons such as rails with torches you could attach. I also think that the power armour could do with more mods and more variation, I'm hoping in the future DLC we will see some new types of power armour. Also another idea would be able to variate attachments such as silencers and scopes to add difference to the game. Being able to change the type of fire from auto to burst in combat would be a nice touch to add too.

More variation in the settlement menu. I would like to see the addition of being able to decorate the interior of the structures you can make in the settlements, such as wallpaper and carpet/floors and more items to be able to put down such as the computers you see in some areas of the game and also kitchens which could be used as a clean water source and food preparation area. I know this has already? been done on PC mods but I hope they bring things like this across to the ps4/xbox one consoles.

If anyone has anything else to add to the list please comment.?

-More of everything really. Fallout 4 is basically more of Fallout 3 and NV for me and Im extremely happy to play a game like this again.

-I loved the settlement system so more additions to that, improvements with placement of things too, settler ai improvements and itll be golden.

-Definitely more handguns and variants that use different ammo. As it stands the clunky and large 10mm looks like it weighs 30+ pounds and I really like the deliverer but not the look of the long barrel option, and its limited ranged without that barrel. A 9mm would be nice, or berretta we can add burst mods/some smaller stocks to them to reduce recoil of the burst or auto. More balance-ish in terms of how strong some guns can be. The combat rifle is basically a gun that I end up using reluctantly as its literally good for anything and can be customized to anything almost. I have a love/hate relationship with it because it looks nice, and is useful, but its too useful and nice. lol...

-Theyre adding tons of customization options but we can always use more, so more voices, preset faces that look decent to mould, hair styles that look good, at least 3 voices for each gender and either age differences, tone or accent differences, and more guns please.

-More places to set up a settlement. Maybe caves or small bunkers/vaults we can use. We pop the door/entrance somewhere in the world and pick what layout we can then just decorate/customize like normal. ( with load screen in between to maybe help with lag and separate data better ??? ) Don't know but that seems like it would have lots of bugs tied into it and be a hassle to do. In the end more places to set up settlements and more control over what gets deleted in that area or how high/low we can go. Perhaps an option to dig a basemant or set a foundation with basemants. Im more of a dig into a mountain dwarf than a hide in the forest elf, or defensive city human :P

-If we cant change how low/high we can build maybe some slider or compromise where we can chose either height or how big the area we get is. Like for the drive in theater, maybe we can reduce it to just the size of the building in the back but build a lot higher. Then they would need to add more enemies to snipe out.

-Spectacle islands seems kinda empty. I would move in if like 2-3 small settlements could be build and like a total of 40-60 settlers chilling out doing things. But they would need massive ai bug fixes and this might be stressful on systems lol. So far I just clear that island for the legendary mirelurks, loot and wood.

-Maybe being able to chose where or how attacks on settlements might happen if they continue with settlements. You maybe have to pick a certain number and add extras if wanted per difficulty or area where youll probably be attacked. Those spots are random/what spawns depends on level your at + the "level" of the settlement depending on the stats but this might remove the randomly spawning inside settlement issue. I build walls and turrets for a reason, to at least make it harder for bad to get in if not stop that completely. Wall damage needs to be a thing without it being too stressful. Then monster ai would need updates too.

As an XBOX ONE player, I miss out on all the good mods. :( Hopefully, Bethesda meant it when they said mods will soon be available for us console players as well!

In regards to your note above:

You can put various carpets on the floor already (although, granted, they are limited in style and sizes). If you're talking wall-to-wall carpeting, then yes, I agree. Would like to see this option, too. Would love to have them set it up like the baseball bats -- with various color choices (perhaps a future DLC quest could involve collecting plants, shells, various ingredients from the local environment and making dyes for fabrics and carpets to customize them???).

You can also build a terminal (I believe it's under the menu with the lightbulb icon) and connect it to power, although mine seems relatively useless (same as the televisions) -- just blank screen. Not sure how to program it. Really want these things to be a useful as the radio is, honestly. Can't we get that group of actors in the Theater District to rig the cameras up to some power source & antenna in the Silver Shroud stage to jump-start television in the local area (maybe that could be a future DLC quest -- to reestablish television in the local area???).

I'd LOVE the kitchens to be something you can build and use - especially in homes where the kitchen area is not able to be scrapped, it's a useless waste of space (ditto for bathrooms). For kitchen, would love to put down a workable sink, fridge with a door, shelves that can open and you can stock canned goods/dishes/glasses in, a plug so you can connect toasters, hot plates, coffee pots, and drawers where you can throw utensils inside. For bathroom, would love to connect the bathtub/shower to a running water source, put down a sink, put up mirrors, and connect a toilet to running water, too. Want to be able to find towels & put them in here, too, along side the toothbrush/paste and hairbrushes. Would love the settlers to actually use these things, too, and their happiness factor be based on caring about them in this way, too (not just putting in trading stalls, beds, a bathtub, and a disco light).

Return to Fallout 4
