Delete local Content = Uninstall & Delete the Game.

It also warns you of this fact and asks to continue before it does.

Not to pour fuel onto the fire, but deleting Fallout 3 probably won't solve the issue of you randomly trying stuff like hitting the "delete local content" button in an attempt to "get the game running."

Hey, I loaded this gun and pull the trigger while it was aimed at my foot. Now I'm missing 3 toes... that's really F**ked up.

Delete local content is the option in Steam to delete the game from your computer. I'm very sorry that it inconvenienced you though. If you have the disk then reinstall from that it is much quicker. if not I'm sorry.

I heard there is a new update. I am at work so obviously can't see my steam here and see if it is or not. Is it really 6GB????? Or is he referring to the size of his game files? How big is the update, someone please?

Thanks

I just install my game from the DVD. The patches I am screwed and have to wait on steam to download... and wait... and wait... IF it's even up and not tanked from the load of people on it. How this is supposed to be "one time activation and then never needed again as it can be played in offline mode" when you can't get the patches anywhere else... I have no idea. Hopefully a later GOTY edition will not have steam.

The update is small. He deleted his files without realizing it.

Ah OK, thanks. Glad to hear that. Was going to wake up my wife at home to start the download if it were really 6GB considering how painfully slow steam is :D
