Danse Perk

Post » Fri Mar 11, 2016 8:39 pm

So, because this is the "no spoilers" forum, it's the best place to ask imo.

Is it possible to get Danse's Companion Perk without siding with the BoS (like I could literally side with anyone else)?

If so, could someone please list the Quests I need to do, in order, to get to the point where I can get his Perk (then tell him to guard some place out in the middle of nowhere)?

For example : "Quest name" > "Quest name" etc...

Also, what's the fastest way to grind Likes from him?

And finally, does his very bland "soldier" personality change after his personal quest (I know what happens, but this is the "no spoilers" forum, and I'd rather keep it that way)?

You have to do Blind Betrayal to get his perk and yes that requires helping out the BOS.

You do have to help the BOS quiet abit to get the quest "blind betrayal" during which you get Danse's perk but after the quest you can side against the brotherhood.

Oh and without spoiling much during that quest Danse gets an new Homebase which you can leave him at

You know, I'm really split about the BoS in this game as it is. Maxson appears to be hiding something, lots of the soldiers appear to be fervently indoctrinated to the new "Cult of Maxson" and there are some genuinely nice people in the BoS, so I'm like "Hmmm...".

I half expected them to shout "Semper Fi!" and "Ooh Rah!" whenever I saw them.

The real danger is that the BoS don't believe in the Brotherhood of Steel, so much as they believe in Maxson and everything he says is law. It's one step away from being really, really bad news and I just can't side with them, because they're far too dangerous.

And how is that different from how people in the Institute treat Father?

So you've already talked to the BOS and made your opinions by yourself or was it based on what other people said? When you get to the Institute, you'll know.

Spoiler
what if Danse doesn't make it through Blind Betrayal? I always lose the dialog challenge. If he's dead do you still get the perk?

People in the Wasteland are very superficial so get into your summer shorts, pop on a pompadour wig, a set of nice shades and do some drugs...or just save scumm.
