Hey everyone, lately I've been doing a lot of thinking on my next character and, more a less, have their entire life set. Their goals, their fears, the hates, everything is coming together, well, rather nicely. But the ending? That one is the icing on the cake. My character, for the first half of the game, strives to escape mortality. She does this by achieving Lichdom, but after the excitement of achieving her lifelong goal wears off she starts to realize Immortality is a curse, not a blessing. She can never eat, no matter how hungry she feels. She can never sleep, nor can she feel pain or comfort. .Becoming a Lich has deadened her senses, and her new goal is to return to life.
Decades of research later, she learns how to attempt CHIM. She sees the tower, and is suddenly aware that everything is just a dream. Everything she's shrived for, everything she hoped for, all of it a dream within the Godhead. Here she follows not in Talos or Vivec's footsteps, but in Lorkhans; she accepts this and, in the brief moment where she can keep her individuality, uses her powers for one thing. To return her physical body back to the world of the living.
She opens her eyes, and for one moment, one brief unimaginable moment, she feels what it means to be alive. And then, just like that, 1 + -1 stops equaling one, and it changes to zero.
What about you guys? How does the story of your Dragonborn end? Do they become great heros and go to Sovenguard? Or perhaps their soul is owned by a Daedric Prince? I want to know your ending, even if--like my own--it involves a long exposition to get there.
