I am unable to kill Deacon in both "The End of the Line" quest for the Institute and "Tactical Thinking" for the Brotherhood of Steel. VATS will not lock onto him, other characters don't injure him, grenades and other throwable items like molotovs don't do any damage either.

Some notes about my interactions with Deacon:

1) I have a high affinity with him (so high that I have his perk)

2) I have taken everything out of his inventory. In one save file, he's literally in his underwear and I still can't damage him.

3) In one save file, I have tried to send him to different settlements and have been unable to kill him.

4) In Tactical Thinking, I can't even sneak up on him and pickpocket him with a live grenade. My character tries to talk to him instead even though he's marked as an enemy.

Earlier in both save files, he had a glitch where I was unable to remove him from his power armor. He just kept walking around, without extra fusion cores, for an unlimited period of time. I had to send him to a settlement, sleep for 48 hours, and he eventually got out (unsure if this had any affect on him being invincible but thought it could be important).

Has anyone been able to get around this on the PS4 without going to a save file that was far in the past from a playthrough standpoint?

@Bethesda, are there plans to patch this?
