Fable: The lost Chapters armor in morrowind?

Post » Mon Jul 05, 2010 2:06 pm

I'm tired of all the armor that you wear making you look scrawny. The armor from Fable: The Lost Chapters should be added, and make your character look big, like you do when u advance in the game. Anybody else want this? Like Archon's Battle Armor, Gold plate armor and Dark plate armor. Those would be awesome. Anyone know if these mods already exists? or if not does any modder want to make them?

I've actually done a very small amount of tinkering with Fable. Even if someone decided to break all of the rules and port the meshes directly out of Fable, it would be very -very- hard. Fable and Morrowind play to completely different art directions. The human models are so different I wouldn't even know where to start, personally.

I'm pretty sure all you actually want is huge plated pauldrons, which is very doable and already done at least once.

Here is a typical set of armor in Fable 1. You can see that the pauldrons, boots and gloves are given special emphasis so as to make the character look "big". This kind of direction is possible in Morrowind but I don't know how good it would look.

well im just tired of wearing the best armor in the game and being unstoppable, yet small and scrawny. i was wondering if there were any armor like that. And Indoril Warmaster armor made it close, but i dont like that its still to closely resembling to ordinator armor. Id like the original Fable armor, like it looks. Not alot of clipping. or armor going through armor. I was just wondering if the armor was makeable. Fable armor is cool

Would have to be an adaptation of the fable armor if anyone made it at all. Too much red tape to use the actual meshes straight out of fable. We can't even use vanilla oblivion meshes. I seriously doubt Bethesda or Lionhead would be to happy to hear about someone distributing a mod for Morrowind that uses Fable resources.

So your request is "possible" but you might not like it. It depends on if anyone picks this idea up and if they decide to stay true to the beefy originals.

For one, I think that sort of stuff would look ridiculous in Morrowind. Way too cartoony.

EDIT: Let me explain. If I ever made a set of armor like this, I'd do it but tone down some of the over-the-top aspects of the armor to fit more with morrowind's trend towards photorealism.

if you want an oversize armor. try the dread knight armor on PES. it's on the top ten, and is BIG looking.

Fable concepts just aren't cool enough, man. That's why they don't exist here.

Here, try http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8061 It doesn't replace any of the armors, but it should fulfill your bulk quota.
