Might I suggest that he be the first one you shoot when you wish to get banished from The Institute? He definitely deserves it, and you'll feel better afterwards...trust me.

He also abuses his position to "get things done" as he puts it. When you first enter the SRB, you can hear him talking to Alana, "My methods get things done, they will this time as well." Every time on every Institute playthrough, I get that power abusing bastard banished. He forgot the SRB was "Synth Retention Bureau", not "make everyone else miserable bureau".
My only disappointment is that I can't meet Justin Ayo on the surface to give him one final send off.
Was especially jarring in my ex-Vault-Tec scientist playthrough. She had 21 INT at the time (cause it was night time, normally it's 18), maxed out Science, Robotics Expert, Nuclear Physicist, Hacker, Chemist, Armorer, Scrapper and Medic, and if counting some perks I RPed as self-augmentations:
implanted anolytic HUD lenses in her eyes (Awareness), added light-sensitive rods in her retinas to see in the dark (Night Person rank 3), her own Shield Harmonics which is more than twice better than theirs (Refractor), x-rays projectors or somesuch to see through walls (Penetrator), increased her tissue resilience (Toughness), rendered herself highly resistant to radiation (Lead Belly, Aqua Girl, Rad Resistance), gave herself cellular regeneration (Life Giver rank 3), either made herself not require breathing or implanted oxygen fabricators in her lungs (Aqua Girl), infused her skeleton with indestructible metal (Adamantium Skeleton), photosynthetic cells in her skin that purges radiation and regenerates tissues when active (Solar Powered)
The gal is smarter and more qualified than the rest of the council combined, despite the crap restrained dialogues insisting that all SSs are idiots.
Not so much an idiot because there isn't any low intelligence dialogue. Your treated like someone with average intelligence no matter how smart or dumb your character is.
I wish this game had more skill checks then just the one that pops up in the BoS quest line.
Being holed up in a lab isn't the only way to be a scientist. Being a scientist requires you to explore and discover new things. Curie is far more of a scientist than Justin is As far as i'm concerned.
Being talented in musical arts(which would consider you a musician if you start playing instruments) And being able to create scientific things like a water purifier that removes radiation from water, a energy generator and many many other things would make you a scientist. There's no if's and's but's about that. Justin is simply an condescending man thinking that you're not smart because you're a prewar dweller and hasn't been in the institute long.
Believe me, I have, and usually I mercy father first, and then head straight for him, and ice him as well. I also kill the head of Bioscience since I'm not sure if he's secretly evil or not >_>
Technically a scientist does pure research. If you need to actually build something you want an engineer.
Research also means creating stuff, science isn't limited to Variables, notes and chemistry set.
Even so your character need to be very intelligent to make some things like a jet pack from crap in the wasteland or maintaining and upgrading power armor.
I to have role played many of these perks as mutations (lead belly, aqua boy, penetrator, adamantium skeleton, rad resistance, ghoulified.) I have to say though, your ideas go even further than mine, and I will definitely be doing a similar play through.
Is your gal basic stock female SS or a custom sculpted female character
It is his own sense of inadequacy, and jealousness that he's stuck in his lab whilst we're having all the fun, which makes him feel the need to be condescending. I just smile to myself, knowing I'm going to get the last laugh.
Same with that BoS lump Rhys - can't waddle out there and do the job himself, hides away in the Police Station feeling inadequate and jealous.
We don't need these jerks to validate us - we KNOW who we are - screw 'em.
The intended preset character sounds like an idiot to me, is that how average intellect people are ?
Sorta custom, this particular one (The Omnidisciplinarian I call her) is based off the preset Face 02, I changed her hispanic(?) tone to Pale, tweaked the shape of her eyes and mouth a little bit, gave her clear blue eyes and light blond hair. Iirc she had Wendy the Welder hairstyle to start with but I changed it to Unladylike immediately (ran from the Vault 111 to DC before I even spoke to Codsworth).
