How to enable the survival mode in Patch 1.4? (PS4)

Post » Fri Mar 18, 2016 1:31 am

I have switched the difficulty in settings to survival, however I still can fast-travel.

Any idea?

Thanks,

The new survival mode wasn't part of this patch. All 1.4 did was fix some things added some workshop items and got your game ready for the future DLC's

The new survival mode is not part of 1.4 it will drop in its own patch.

damn, I'm so disappointed. I was really looking forward to the survival mode. Is there any ETA when they would release it?

From what I have heard and read it's still a work in progress and there is no set date at this point.

As of now it's still in beta and work in process. My guess we won't be seeing it until May if i'm truly honest. Only because they said things will be removed, added, tested...etc. So i'd say be patient you're not the only one who wants to play the survival mode but this an ambitious update to the game that's going to alter how it plays. You can't rush this sort of thing lol :)

Don't worry OP, I know it's disappointing,

but you'll survive (cough)...

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. :)

Since its not finished yet, I really hope they also allow 'unnamed' settlers to die from raids. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems settlers can't be killed by raiders attacking the settlement. That kinda defeats the purpose of realism and having to upgrade defense in first place.

Beside that a more detailed statistic about the outcome of defense would be great. Maybe even in form of replay ability of how the attack happened.

Last but not least hopefully heavier raids can happen over time. No point if always 5 weak raiders keep attack laser turrets.

In a nutshell the whole tower defense mechanism needs to improved.

Boy, if unnamed settlers can be killed, I think you'd see meat chunks as soon as you arrived there to help. lol

To be honest Bethesda talked about way too much in a short space of time. The expectations that 1.4 had mod support and/or Survival mode are pretty widespread. I've seen lots and lots of people disappointed to not find those features especially since the patch is so gigantic compared to normal.

It is quite possible the survival and/or the dlc are included in the patch and just need to be unlocked, from the developers' part.

Yea it would have been nice to know what was in the patch taking up the space, I don't mind but a bit of clarification would be cool
