Escorts the Scribe problems

Post » Fri Mar 18, 2016 5:14 am

You know, this mission is really cool on paper, but actually doing the mission is near impossible due to the Scribe dying to a bloodbug or mongrel 5 minutes after leaving the airport. The squires are more competent than them, and they're kids!

Anyone else think the Scribes should be tougher?

There are a few problems, since your level is much higher than others and therefor any hostiles will kill these low level fast. As I said, always says, now and in future.... any NPC should level up with player's character (that also include hostiles), but friendly npc will have more chance to survive.

I agree,

When a legendary infected bloodbug shows up, that Scribe goes down fast. We should have leveled Scribes follow us.

I never do escort missions unless I feel that the NPC is invincible because Bethesda companions is stupid as hell.

I still remember that one time in Skyrim where I got Lydia as companion and decided to explore a dungeon.

She triggered every single trap. It took me alot of work to ensure she survived the journey. I felt like I was escorting an idiot that I had to bring through the dungeon
safely. I managed to do it without any reloads. But that Spiked door trap almost did her in. Step Spiked Ow! And repeat several times until I managed to ram her off the
damn pathing.

After that ordeal, all the companions created by Bethesda stay at home, inside the kitchen where they belong.

Only companions I use is ones made by other modders with traits that they don't activate traps. Or at least invincible so I don't have to give a damn if they're stuck
activating and activating their own personal masochist paradise over and over again. SO I can continue on ahead and finish the dungeon in reasonable time and have the
follower catch up to me by teleporting.

I pretty much refuse to do any redshirt escort missions. I got better things to do like having fun.

That reminds me of Sydney in Fallout 3 when your trying to steal the declaration of independence, after 10 tries, I just let her die and took her combat armor and unique SMG and finished the quest alone.

Worked out in the long run as I didn't have to split the reward with her :)

I run Gunner's Plaza alone, impossible to have any with me. Right now, I'm gathering some xp downtown and I must say that I'm doing better alone there too.
