I bought fallout 2 off of steam, because, you know, I was feeling nostalgic. Here's the thing, the graphics are corrupted. There's this weird rainbow corruption everywhere, and white blotches on anything that isn't moving.

What's the deal? Do I have to buy an old voodoo or something ?

Common problem with the old games. I get it even with my original copy, trying to run it on a newer computer.

The easy fix is to alt-tab back to windows and click back into the game. Sometimes you have to do it a couple of times, but it's always worked for me.

Try right clicking on the shortcut > Properties > Compatibility > Run in 256 Colors.

Thank you. The 256 color compat mode fixed the problem. They should really remake this using a newer engine...
