Any Ideas?
All Fallout 3 and New Vegas DLC is under 1 GB with the smaller ones being about 300 to 400 MB and the bigger ones being around 600 to 800 MB. With Automatron and Wasteland Workshop, I expect them to be under 1 GB with Far Harbor being over 1 GB and maybe even reaching 2 GB.
You really can't compare previous generation games to 4. Fallout 3 and NV were under 9.5gb for the base games (dual layer DVD max on xbox 360) and fallout 4 was 28gb. Hell the recent 1.4 update was 2+gb itself. I'd guess 2-4gb for Automatron
Based on the Stem version, Automatron is 594.71MB, with another 117.28MB in voice files (English).
Now that I am at my computer - I can give more than a reference.
There is a huge difference between Automatron and previous Fallout DLCs. The Robot Crafting system is a new feature added to Fallout 4 while previous Fallout DLC didn't add any new features. So I wouldn't be surprised if the Robot Crafting system is worth $4 or $5 of the Automatron DLC and we only get $5 to $6 worth of mission content and equipment. Just look at Wasteland Workshop. It allows you to capture creatures and have them fight in an arena with a few additional Settlement items for $5. The only quests I expect from that DLC is an introductory quest that explains how to capture creatures and have them fight in arenas.
I expect the amount of mission content and equipment available in Automatron is similar to the amount available in Operation Anchorage which is not much compared to Broken Steel, the Pitt, and Point Lookout. So it is likely that Automatron will contain a mission to start the DLC and introduce the Robot Crafting system, a mission to find the location of the Mechanist, and a mission to defeat the Mechanist.
PC is usually smaller than consoles, but also usually not by much. I'm estimating Xbox One would be between 600.00MB-750.00MB. I have slow internet 1.12mb's and I really don't want it to take too long, so that's why I was wondering about file size.
