how keeping loot in a memory den dlc would work

Post » Fri Mar 18, 2016 5:34 am

The main problem most people seein a memory den dlc would be the inability to keep loot , the way to solve this as I can see it would be done in one of 3 ways

Number one: Hidden chache/tomb where the protagonist stores the loot after it isn't needed anymore location would be marks on your map upon exiting memory

Number two: Character (likely goulified) approaches ss any gives items (potential companion/memory giver as well) as sort of a he/she would have wanted you to have this

Number 3: The quest given to memories protagonist was incomplete but can still be stopped you get the items off the body of protagonist or from protagonist if still alive

Or you have a device that you scan the items in the past with and they appear in a device/machine in the future that's located in the memory den.

The memory den doesn't take you back in the past though. Its all imagination, so how would the items exist for them to do that?

Going by what they did for Operation Anchorage back in FO3, you probably wouldn't be able to keep physical loot, and unless they try to make crafting within the simulation a thing, most of the stuff's probably just going to be static objects anyway, but there'll probably be a cache of some kind that you discover the location of while you're in the simulation. They would probably also have new craftable items that you'd earn the recipes for as a part of it. But that's also all assuming there's going to be a Memory Den DLC in the first place.

I am not in favor of a "pretend" memory den DLC.

Quests, yes. But a whole DLC spent in a VR pod? Hell no.

I loved the VR pod in fallout 3 but the memory den is just something I try and skip asap. It never even interested me so a DLC solely around that would need to be similar to how the fallout 3 one worked.

But some box before you go in, or the chick takes everything and boxes it ( quest items too ) then you get it all back after. Anything in the simulation, well the idea of a scanning device was mentioned so maybe another machine to "replicate" the items is being worked on while your in the VR the whole time.

Dunno about VR dlc really....
