Migrating Settlers Building Troughs

Post » Thu Mar 17, 2016 10:25 pm

Can you migrate settlers to different settlements? Dont get me wrong, I know how to makie caravans through the workshop; I'm askin if you cand send them to stay. some of the settlements are too costly to build up. Nord Beach for example. Id either send the to the Fort or sanctuary Hills.

Again, I am playing on XOne.

On xbox just walk up to a settler in build mode and there is an option for move (think it's X button). This will bring up a list of settlements you can send them to.

Yes, you can move settlers to different settlements. On XBox One, go into build mode, highlight the settler, press "X". A list will appear of the options you can send them to.

You won't be able to send settlers to locations which have reached max capacity for your level (CHR + 10) and these will be grayed out on the list.

To build troughs, if memory serves, this is an item listed under food/water. Go to the section with the scrap table and select it. There are a few additional options there (including the fast travel mat). It's definitely under the Resources > Misc section.

Odd, given how much I've built, you'd think I'd have this memorized by now. 1.4 did change some things, too, so that's got me all fizzled.

Hope this helps. :)

PS: You can't move settlers who were originally part of the settlement. If they have names, you can't move them. The two settlers at Oberland Station also cannot be moved.

You can only move those who came to the settlement on their own.

Although there is a Brahmin vendor, Brahmin seem to show up at your settlements anyway if you build that trough. I personally never encountered the Brahmin lady, but I've got 1-2 Brahmin at almost every settlement (and I have all 30).

Basically, this means I have so much fertilizer that I can fill the Wasteland with JET!!!!!!

I think it's a pretty cool idea for management. Gives those sloggers better odds to maybe get some. If it's still possible ? lol

I have Brahmin show up at my settlements without having build the trough. So I do not think its a requirement for attracting them.

I believe (and this is just my guesses) that its used to keep the Brahmin you have in a specific area as they are attracted to it. Stops them wandering all over your settlement.

However, my Brahmin still seem to find their way onto roofs or into shacks whenever my back is turned. :wallbash:

truth, under resources/misc. you'll find Brahmin feeder. Not the same as a bath tub.
