Max level for Automatron

Post » Fri Mar 18, 2016 2:29 am

Hi All

I have a level 59 character that I am finding to be over powered now, even on the hardest difficulty level he can one-shot almost anything. When Automatron comes out I want it to be a challenge.

Does anybody know if the DLC will be scaled for high level characters, or would I be best re-rolling a new one?

Many thanks in advance for the replies.

Mark

Yeah I hope they add powerful secret bosses, or at least release the new survival mode together with the DLC.

Best guess is that it will be consistent with however challenging the base game already is for you. Make of that what you will.

Unknown, all we know is the minimum level you need to be (which is 15), I would assume for a DLC like this the level stalling will be wide, to cover different players with different playtimes.

Even if they make level 490 enemy, it cannot be hard if u utilize things provided in this game properly.

FO3, FNV at least were occasionally challenging due to level cap & no critical bank shots... but with FO4 being able to turn on VATS anytime you want with no level cap + 4th dimension wall breaking critical shots...

Things can never be hard... unless you put some limitation on your own play.

by the way... patch 1.3 allows remote hack of all robots, and this is not addressed in patch 1.4.

Automatron could be huge joke.

i prefer the remote hack over the previous method... it seemed impossible to sneak up on sentry or assaultron bots even with stealth gear, and you didn't really need to hack the weaker robots.

maybe if they just shorten the range a bit.

and yeah, i'm sure automatron will have many people crying in the forums about how bethesda ripped them off.

i personally think it will be very weak as far as the customization for the robots.

I used to use stealth boy exclusively to hack assaultrons.

I don`t think remote hack is intended because it breaks the certain part of the game and makes absolutely no sense.

I said Automatron can be a joke because with current remote hack whatever robots come out will be nothing but clowns.

If you can one shot anything, you need to rethink your weapon choice. Some legendary combinations are clearly unbalanced. So we can't expect a dlc to be hard, unless they go the fallout 3 route and add in albino scorpion reavers with outlandish amount of hp.

I expect the bosses to be pretty good.
Harkon in Dawnguard, DLC for Skyrim, was no pushover, no matter which side you played :)

very good point...i didn't even think of that, it will be a very boring dlc as far as mission enemies.

Yeah.. patch 1.3 said they will make hacking possible during the battle...

It would have been just right with that change.. but now our Pip-boy is like ultimate hacking tool. lol

To be honest, it was very fun seeing Assaultron destroying gunners and super mutants...

but I really thought they would fix this remote hacking thing with new patch 1.4 before Automatron is released.

It is even possible all these Robo-brain built robots are highly hack-proof.

Big Boy w/o critical on VATS make the game easy.

that stupid weapons is just to OP. i stop using it as soon as i got it.

But most games have those problems.

You actually had enough mini nukes for common use?

I don't know about that. There are people who shot the Ebony Warrior with a dagger.

It would be great if we tried to hack one of the Mechanist's robots and our screen just said "Nice try! You can't thwart the Mechanist that easily!".

Can't be sure. There's story content - I'd expect this to scale since most people will be going in at over 50 - but as so much of this is essentially a create-based expansion it wouldn't really matter too much. TBH a lot of players will want to just plow through the content to unlock the build-a-robot feature and/or any extra things. I doubt real challenge for high level players will arrive until Far Harbour.

That's a good question. It seems like scripted enemies aren't generally scaled to your level. Places like Saugus Ironworks have higher level enemies and if you go there at a low level you might not make it through. But if you clear it out and come back a few days later, generic NPCs spawn in place of the scripted ones and are scaled to your level. The same is true with places like Gunner's Plaza and the Quincy Ruins, as well as various super mutant locations. It seems like anywhere with a named NPC is level locked until it's been cleared once, at which point the respawning enemies are leveled.

My current character is level 123, so there isn't going to be much of a challenge even if enemies are scaled. I'm starting a new character when the new survival mode comes out, and that's likely the character I'll use for all of the DLC.

At level 59 everything was easy then about level 80 enemy's changed now they are way to bullet spongy. Seriously 2 mini nukes to kill 1 gunner. I miss being low level.
