lone wanderer and the R.R

Post » Fri Mar 18, 2016 3:13 am

Hi folks.

Am currently doing a Lone Wanderer assassin run with no settlements but I really want the Ballistic Weave (never had it before) and I understand you have to do a few quests before Tinker Tom gives you the ability to purchase it - my problem is PAM and her 'set up a settlement for the R.R - I don't want to do settlements!

So my question is this - is it possible to progress the R.R but not do PAMs settlement quests?

Cheers

It's not a settlement, it's a Safe House. You don't even need settlers there. Just build some defenses and put up a bed for the caretaker.

And I am not sure if you get ballistic weave just by doing Tinker Tom's quests. I usually do all sorts of quests for the RR until I get the weave. Just do the Mila quests then and see if that will get you the weave.

I just read that you do need to complete the Mercer Safe House quest and you also need to do some DIA cache quests for Pam, before it unlocks.

oh right.....It's just that whenever I've gotten the safe house quest from PAM it's a settlement location ie Sunshine Tidings or starlight drive in .....

but I'll give it a go tonight - cheers for the reply :goodjob:

After p.a.m. gives the safe house quest she starts giving D.I.A. cashe quests, you need to do a few of the D.I.A. cashe quests to get ballistic weave unlocked. It has nothing to do with the mila quests.

Well, yea, it will be a settlement location, since you have to be able to build defenses. I pulled the short end of the straw in my current play through and got Coastal Cottage... ugh, I never build there, it's a stupid place! :D But yea, I actually build a nice building there to accommodate run away synth, but I have 0 settlers at that location.

Oh yea, right. For some reason I always think that it's Mila's atmospheric sensors that pick up the secret of Ballistic Weave! LOL It's part of a DIA cache... makes more sense, too. :D
