Skyrim's lost it's magic :

Post » Fri Mar 18, 2016 5:06 pm

So I've got Skyrim on PC and after like 65 hours on PC and 150+ on PS3 and I finally have all the DLC for Skyrim on PC but... I'm just bored with the game, even after restarting, even after countless mods... I'm bored of it...

I'm not really into Dead is Dead but I want something to freshen up the gameplay... any ideas?

Have you tried a requiem playthrough, or mods that ramp up the challenge?

I'm not sure Skyrim is the right game for you. Less than 300 hrs and "it's lost its magic"...

The only thing I can really suggest is to start Role Playing. .. While you could add mods that have new lands quests ... NPCs and such. Graphics mods that change the world. .. your gonna be right back to bored in less that 100 hr's if that's all you do.

I have over 6k hrs on 360 alone, in Skyrim. .. not including my PC hrs. The game is what you make it.

Requiem? Not sure what that is...

And it's not really difficulty that I'm having an issue with, it's just that the world doesn't feel as interesting as before, the quests don't seem as interesting. I might try a ramped up difficulty mod, any good ones? I tried the one that makes you have to eat and drink and stay warm and hated that, so maybe combat challeneg?

Lol 300 hours.

I have around 600 on Steam, and probably close to twice that from offline/SKSE use.

When you play the game in offline mode, Steam does not count your hours played.

When you do not launch the game from Steam, it does not count your hours played.

So yeah, over 1500 hours in 5 years sounds right.

Not competing here.....just pointing out the potential for a long term play through.

I have in excess of 12000 hours (a good 8 per day on average) in four years and only this year I am slowing up.....and still haven't done the dlcs yet. Thats all due to DiD......constant restarting due to deaths.

I guess if you blast through it all once as reloader, so never having to repeat plays.....then yep.....your gonna complete the quests and then "consider" the game done and dusted.....FPS style play!

But that's not usual for this type of game......its a role play sandbox with massively open scope to indulge in almost anything. With a spot of imagination and some good mods this game will run for ever.

If you want the best out of it.....play to its intended use.....don't just blast through like its an FPS or linear 'adventure action' game.
