Overheating problems not going away any time soon

Post » Sat Mar 19, 2016 12:53 pm

Still having problems with AMD processor and graphics card issue.Again.

FX 9370 and R9 390 Both run cool in all instances.Running Fallout 4 however.Temperatures are skyrocketting to unbearable heat levels. An before anyone jump in an says.AMD runs hot.It is happening on ALL systems that are not the latest Nvidia GPUs.This issue has still not been addressed. The long loading times are still there because the Blackbox Technology of Nvidia's Gameworks.

We cant access it an cannot mod it away.Temps are becomming too unbearable for only 4 hours of play.Room temp before starting was 73F After 4 hours of play 110F.It is freaking hot in here.Yes im using the latest driver.No.it does not help. This is a Blackbox issue. Please address this issue.Gameworks is still off loading the graphics directly onto the Processor.

You have a power hungry CPU and a fairly power hungry GPU and you believe Fallout 4 is the only reason for your temperature issues. You need to fix the airflow in your PC.Fallout 4 isn't that demanding on the GPU,at least not from my experiences.Do you have any proof that Gameworks is causing longer load times?Yes,I know that Gameworks may cause performance issues on AMD cards...

What do you mean by 'Blackbox issue'?Which games allow you to see and/or modify their source code?

Wops! Forgot to add the system specs again.Hang on.An my computer does not even run up to 40% it's just an optimization issue that Bethesda needs to fix. That is whats causing it to heat up.The cores are fast so it does not use near as much power.

The graphics card on the other hand was so hot to the touch i nearly burned myself. This is a issue due to Gameworks. This cant be fixed by users because of their Blackbox technology.Only Bethesda can fix it.Just let Bethesda know we still have a overheating problem. We can now play the game.Yeah but the heat output is still massive.

Perhaps you should check your fan profile on your graphic card? Example at what temperature should your graphic card fan runs at maximum rpm. My temperature max around 75C...

OK something is off here. 73F - 110F? Do you mean Celsius? Room temperature nevermind.

What are the actual temperatures of your system? CPU/GPU? Use GPUz, HWMonitor, or Speedfan.

Do what jasper suggested above: Use GPUz, HWMonitor, or Speedfan.

Also try another demanding game and monitor your temps as well.

That doesn't make sense, does it?

If you game only utilizes 40% from your CPU-GPU compo, why is it overheating then?

Also i would suggest to clean your computer physically. (if it's not clean)

Over time, the fan and air vent and CPU heat-sink area that helps regulate your computer's temperature, can get clogged with dust, causing the CPU and everyhing else related to overheat and hardware to malfunction!

There is nothing wrong with the game! at least not in that way you described above.

If a remember correctly, you had a similar problem with Fallout 4 some time ago!

There is also lame way - unmounting your case wall and use external room fan. Worked for my old PC :D
