I was heading to the Glowing Sea, scratching and clawing my way there to find Virgil, that's when it happened!! I lost Dog Meat!! I figured he would turn up again later on as he does but he did not. So I decided to select Piper as my companion she then disappeared (when I mean disappeared, I mean she vanished) . I was killing and playing and still not too worried at that time. Then I decided to select Nick Valentine to be my companion for awhile he followed me for awhile he would crouch when I crouched and so on, then he decided not to follow me any more. So I headed to Boston Airport where Paladin Danse was I asked him to follow me he started following me also went out the door and I never saw him again?? I guess my companions just don't like me any more?
If anyone had this issue I would appreciate any help on this issue.
Bethesda sent this to me I tried everything except #1 because I already deleted saves before I realized I was having this issue.

Greetings Vault-Dweller!
Thank you for contacting Bethesda Support. I understand you've been experiencing an issue with NPCs in Fallout 4. I'm going to do my best to work with you so that I can get you back to exploring as soon as possible!
You can resolve most Fallout 4 NPC issues by following the troubleshooting steps below:
1. Reload a previous save file from before the issue started occurring.
2. Clear the XB1 system cache. Press and hold the power button until complete power down. Unplug the power cable from the back of the console. Press power button five times, then plug the power cable back into the console. Wait for the light on the power brick to turn from white to orange, then power on your Xbox One. This will ensure that there aren’t any corrupted or missing files in your installation.
3. If applicable, allow more than 1 day (24 hours) of in-game time to pass. We recommend doing this by traveling to an interior location, away from the place the issue is occurring. This will advance the game’s internal clock and will reset NPC’s, resolving potential issues.
If you feel the above does not apply to you, please do not hesitate to reply back to this email. I would be happy to look into your matter further.
Thank you for your patience and support!
Kind Regards,
Bethesda Support
