Hey there! I encountered Gene early on in the game and he let me buy a dog from him. I'm now getting close to 70 and I've encountered Gene 4-5 more times since I've bought that original dog. In these encounters as soon as I talk to him he just automatically says "I've changed my mind she's not for sale anymore." and keeps walking. I don't even get the option to try to buy the dog from him. I've read people have bought numerous dogs from him so any ideas on what's wrong with my Gene? I want more dogs!

Why couldn't you just save and reload?

Maybe you just ain't charming enough for him.
