I long for the day when I can put a short or medium recon scope on my rifle. I don't like the long ones because they zoom in too much. The thing is I've yet to find one. Even when the scopes appear smaller it still says long.

So my question is has anyone seen one? Are they available in the game?

There is a 10mm you can buy from Bunker Hill but the scope won't fit anything else.

for (most?) vanilla weapons there is only one type.

some weapons added by mods have a wider range of scopes.

get the Gun Nut perks and you can make them for most ballistic and directed energy weapons on the weapon workbench.

Yes. I have experimented with both short and medium recon scopes on some of my rifles, as well as night scopes of all lengths.

Problem is you need the science perk to make them, which requires a six (I think) intelligence (I have four). I don't want to invest that many perks.
