Lol, yea, I clearly hate this forum.
Also, that is your own logic. Did you forget?
"If you don't like this game then go play something else"
That is like your M-O, Buddy.
Personally, I know you are legues smarter than I could ever hope to be.
I did no such thing.....and thanks .....Well, you might be, how would I know? Anyways, if we can't communicate on a civil level, then the alternatives is not something for me. Constantly being confrontational will, as I said, lead to the thread being closed.
That is two different things and yes if someone is not enjoying a video game they should be playing one they enjoy what you find flawed about that i will never know...
If you want to tell jokes at least tell them alongside some useful dialogue... if you want to just to tell jokes go to a joke forum...
Asking ? Nowhere in this thread did you ask people to stop - as you said yourself :
You're doing a pretty good job of twisting your own words.
And if all you want to do is
why start a thread on a public forum trying to tell people what to do ?
I agree with you, it is tough to tell when someone is being constructive or just moaning.
But the case Enclave is saying should be a no-go is in no way moaning. The thread being referred to has plenty of fair criticisms, some of which I agree with. It's a very poor form of refereeing since it's more of a 'if it's not my opinion, it's the wrong opinion' type.
i see enclavers point, some people are wanting a bethesda game to be something different then how they make their games, there's some minor things i would like differen't but overall i enjoy their game developing style and philosophy, player freedom, the ability to play at your own pace, exploration and combat driven, i like how they make their games, pete hines said we can do anything but not everything, its not really realistic to expect a game to appeal to everyone, a game developer has to settle on certain things they will prioritize or highlite, just like how you can't be a good jack of all trades character, its the same thing, for them to focus one lets say tons of dialogue, much deeper stories, thats all well it good but other aspects would suffer, there's only so much time to develop a game, look at NEW VEGAS, a decent game with more rpg elements but the locations svcked, the map was empty, it had well structured quests, nothing spectacular but they were well done, lots of dialogue, various ways to complete quests not always involving killing etc, but the time they spent on all the dialogue and story writing was time they didn't spend on the map, thats why half the locations were just a few tents, a shed, a small shack or small cave, that was probably half the locations, there were halrdy any buildings on the map, even the city area was very simplified, the few casinos were ok but thats it, the rest of the city was not anything you could interact with, most of the locations were un enterable and just all walled off rubble or boarded up buildings, with a few minor exceptions, so bethesda isn't trying to "copy" some other developer, they are staying true to what they do best, which is world design, enemies to fight, tactical locations with lots of nooks and crannies and places to explore and loot.
If we stop, then we'll have a problem.
It is the players' job to inform Bethesda of their opinions, their thoughts, and of the glitches/issues they have with their games. Most players generally just does it in a rude or incorrect way. Or have no idea what they're talking about, which is where the critics comes into play and gives out more proper information, thoughts, and so on in a polite and gentle manner. (You can still be a bad critic though, just saying).
Without this, Bethesda would probably just do the same stuff over and over again or just do completely what they want, be it worse or better. And I think most of us don't want this. We want the games to be better refined, made better, and overall more enjoyable for everyone rather than just what Bethesda wants. Plus a lot of actual problems would most likely never get fixed.
I find it funny how you always bring New Vegas into the discussions, almost no matter what it is about. I'm sorta beginning to think you have some kind of weird grudge on the game Anyways, a thing you always mention about New Vegas, is the barren map, yeah well, it is Mojave Desert https://www.google.dk/search?q=mojave+desert&safe=off&biw=1920&bih=919&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwiFpvbA6sbLAhUH6Q4KHbiXDlkQ_AUIBigB
Nice thing about Bethesda - they really don't care what people say on the forums.
If the game meets their vision, and sales are through the roof - they are justifiably happy.
Biggest risk to us as a community is that they will find the profits from mobile apps irresistible,
and abandon AAA games like Konami. Then we all lose.
Reminds me of the good old days when anytime someone said anything negative about Fallout 4 it started a fight involving New Vegas.
Oh wasn't about starting a fight or anything. It was just something I had noticed. Both games have their +'s and -'s
