Food Farms

Post » Sat Mar 19, 2016 7:10 pm

Hey guys, sorry if this has been answered before but I can't find it anywhere.

When I'm visiting farms, they always look aesthetically pleasing, ground cleared out and smooth, free of shrubs.

The place where robots only farm the land, they actually build vegetables in pots.

When I build vegetables, I can't find a way to make them look as good as what I see. I can only clear obvious rubble in workshop mode, but the ground remains ugly as ever.

Is there a way to do this?

The mod "Spring Cleaning" allows you to clear those sorts of things.

The mod "Homemaker" adds planter boxes like the ones at Graygarden [that robot farm].

Other than that, no.

Its fairly easy to plant in straight rows, putting lots of the same type of crop together certainly looks the part.

What I do is box out a patch of land with fences.

Putting small fences there divides the patch into boxes, then you can plant in the middle of each box and store the fences at the end so everything looks neat and tidy in nice rows.
