After new years, my wife was on this health kick because we have both gained weight in the 3 years since we got married. Yes, it's true, both men and women gain weight when you get married! Also having kids..So she looked up "diets" and nothing really appealed to us, because diets really don't work. They are either complete [censored] or they literally just don't work, and typically go off of extremes to get results, which are gained back the instant you stop doing what you're doing. That's not weight loss! That's a bandaid fix to a much larger problem!~ (you)
My wife introduced me to Paleo, which isn't a diet, but more of a lifestyle change. People usually do 1 month Paleo cleanses because it's a GREAT way to refresh your body and detox. I didn't know what Paleo was at first so I was really intimidated and wasn't really on board. So, I tried it for one week. I thought hey if I can't give a stupid diet one week, what kind of man am I?? So I tried it, and lo' and behold, after the first week..I actually felt amazing. I didn't really see any weight loss, I just truly felt 100% better. All for doing a stupid diet?? Well, when I realized what it means to "be" Paleo, I understood why. Paleo is not a diet, just a lifestyle change. Cutting out ALL processed foods and cooking meals yourself cuts out:
-Preservatives
-Excess Sodium
-Excess granulated Sugars
-Excess fats
-Other chemicals involved in the fast food process (which is bloody disgusting)
By doing this diet for 2 months, my wife and I have both lost over 25 lbs. The weight after the first week began to just instantly drop off, and it was so noticeable it was shocking. But the thing is, we didn't even exercise. We don't have a gym membership! Your body goes through such a drastic shock when you stop poisoning it with fast food and processed meats that you literally just melt fat right off of your body. I won't lie; it's not easy. Eating non processed foods means no eating out, no buying boxed foods, and no "instant" dinners. It means buying whole foods, meats, eggs, potatoes, anything that cave men would have eaten, that's what you eat. It's also called the Cave Man diet.
You might think that eating this way is bland, and you're 100% wrong. I have had some of the best foods I've ever eaten because I went out of my comfort zone to try new recipes and discovered new tastes and we couldn't be happier.
The results?
-Much leaner muscle tone
-25 lbs pure fat lost, confirmed by a nutritionist
-4 inches off my waist (WOW)
-Energy levels sky rocket
-Headaches go away
-My facial and shoulder acne completely cleared up (doctor said this was due to me not pumping poison into my body via processed foods, which causes all sorts of ailments)
-Overall general health 200% better
-Increased six drive
-Fatigue from early mornings are gone, I am chipper as ever
I'm going to be honest with you guys. I'm 27. I was starting to push 300 lbs. I am now 275, I feel 10 years younger, and I have the energy of my youth back. No more aches and pain of age. I'm only 27 for crying out loud! You might be wondering why I'm telling you all this. There's no reason except sharing the good news, my fellow brothers and sisters. It's a great lifestyle. It's healthy, it's natural, and your body will thank you for it. I recommend this as a full time thing, but you can lose up to 20 lbs doing a 1 month cleanse of this lifestyle. Just google it. I'm not here to sell you anything or link you to any websites. It's all just in good faith.
