I like the look of Cage armor, but the Drifter set is my absolute favorite armor in the game. If it only had higher stats or took ballistic weave. Lately I've been giving Cage armor or Spike armor to my settlers, as mentioned above, or giving it to my companions. Piper looks really good in it.

edit: Spike armor has some of the same design elements as the Drifter outfit but with a little better stats. I really wish those armors could be up-graded, considering we have the right perks, etc.

It looks 200% better on that one raider on the loading screen....

Well Ballistic Weave is OP IMO anyway so I don't use it. Maybe if it only gave about 1/3 the protection and 1/10 on hats, I'd consider using it. Right now, even though I can use it, I just pretend it doesn't exist.

While I'm not too concerned with the raider sets of armor (I think the stats on Cage armor is fine) I do have issue with some of the Gunner gear. For a Merc group they have the crappiest base clothing in the game. And to top that off many of their clothing won't allow certain types of armor to be added (like leg armor). These are the TOP mercs in the game. I really expected a lot better of them. Hell even Raider Leather let's you wear all the armor pieces.

Well, the cage armor looks good on my Finch Farm settlers! Thank you Saugus, for supplying defensive outfits for my settlers! LOL

But yea, I wouldn't wear it personally, it's way too heavy and the protection isn't stellar, especially after you get Ballistic weave!
