this IS the drop I was looking for...

Post » Tue Mar 22, 2016 6:53 pm

I tried it like 10 times when I was into maybe 100 hours of gaming.

Then I realized it I am fooling myself against RNG God. Lol

I might try the trick if I see noticeable Ripper or Minigun drop in certain situation... I am at lvl 201... I think I had enough journey searching for few of these weapons. lol

.

Anyway, I am wondering if Ripper VATs critical damage is now fixed. Before they were saying it only does 1 hit instead of 5 hits.

I recently got lucky Ripper... so I wanna try

I got a 2 shot 10MM last night. My favorite is still the spray & pray. Just wish I could scope it.

The best way i have found to get lots of legendary items is to go out with a syringe rifle loaded with 100 bloatfly larvae syringes loaded into it and 25 mirelurk egg omelettes for extra VATS when needed, Have the mirelurk egg omelette on your weapon wheel for quick access.

The area you're in usually determines what kind of items will drop but once you've got a few legendary ltems they tend to become more random and unconnected to the area or enemy killed, I tend to average about 20 items each time i go out on the hunt.

Hope this helps someone :)

20 minutes after finishing my last post, I ended up getting the explosive assault rifle. And it dropped from...a charred feral HA!

Been trying to farm a set of sharp for ages. So far I've got a right arm, a chest and 6 left arms. Almost makes me wish the SS was an octopus.

Yeah, that's the whole trick to farming. I got 10mm drops several times, but for the life of me couldn't get the 2-shot with the autosave. Eventually just gave up in all my previous attempts.

Agreed.

That said, I did manage with my latest toon to catch both a right and a left leg with Acrobat on it, meaning those wonderful Freefall Legs in Mass Fusion HQ can sit there until the building comes all the way down, for all I care. LOL.

Agreed. Thank goodness, farming is not a necessity in Fallout 4 like it is in tiresome RNG loot drop oriented games like Dragon Age Inquisition where you need to spend hours of chorefest farming in order to craft any decent gear to survive a dragon battle.

In games like Fallout 4, I just take whatever I get and decide its fate accordingly. Although I do prefer the previous Fallout's way of finding rare weapons through meticulous exploration.

My most exciting find was from a Legendary Deathclaw in the Glowing Sea. He dropped a Explosive Gauss Rifle with shielded capacitors and recoil compensating stock. I was as giddy as a kid at Christmas. :P

After hearing people talk about it here I wanted the 2 shot gauss rifle so bad I can't even begin the think about how many hours I farmed for that thing. I did finally get one however it was probably only 15-20 mins after that drop that I got a 2 shot AR that has become my favorite.

I found one of these on my first character. I hadn't invested in heavy weapons and it didn't suit him, but I used it for a while just for a laugh. It's quite funny.

I bought a two-shot combat rifle, farmed an explosive combat rifle and a wounding one as well. They are each modified to take a different ammo type, you see. I win.

The best legendary drop I've gotten was a Wounding laser pistol. I have never, ever got a legendary helmet. I didn't even know you could?

I don't farm for anything but it was sweet when I found a never ending .44 as I love the magnum....feels almost cheesy to use.
