Not long into the game I adopted a policy of preserving whenever possible the lives and habitats of the peculiar and formidable creatures that populate the Commonwealth.
Rather than trying to kill everything in sight, I instead began sneaking around the place, where possible photographing (with screenshots) the beautiful and diverse animals and robots that can be found. From the common Raider Scavver to the rare and highly dangerous Mirelurk Hunter.
Not only does this save on ammo and stimpaks, but it is moreover our duty to leave the Commonwealth in the state that we found it, so that future generations may enjoy this thrilling struggle for survival. What will we tell our grandchildren if they grow up in a world without supermutants, without feral ghouls, without even a rabid mongrel dog to appreciate and get attacked by?
The anti-environmentalists of the day are surely the Brotherhood of Steel. It breaks my heart to see them flying around in their vertibirds, gunning down the local wildlife thoughtlessly with their Gatling guns and laser weapons. If I could find a way I'd bring down their stupid balloon and drown arch a$$hole Maxim and all the rest all in the sea (where incidentally the wrecked airship would make an excellent habitat for Mirelurks and other peculiar creatures).
