Grandmaster Vidicus: I think you'll find that the ones who are doing a grand Hitler impression are the ones blowing up innocent people at airports and on tube trains...

I'm cynical because I know the truth, and its ugly.

Did you know most Western countries actually admired Hitler's efficiency before the... Incidents in WW2?

And most people didn't know about the Final Solution until 1945. There were rumours, but nothing else. What we have now is a fanatical cult who are quite open about their intensions to literally destroy the West, no matter what methods they have to use.

So taking after their example is clearly the best way to put an end to it, right? Blood for blood, eye for eye. Guess a lot of you have never heard that "The problem with eye for an eye is that in the end, everyone ends up blind."

And something should be done about it. But something sensible, not something stupid and irrational caused from the despair that terrorists inflict on the world, which only serves to give them more power, and make us no better than them. Because the truth is, they kill us for a cause that they believe is righteous, and no matter what our reasons for doing the same are, it doesn't change the fact that we'd be DOING THE SAME TO THERE PEOPLE THAT THEY'RE DOING TO US (and there people!)

Seriously, do you know how evil you sound?

Your calling for the extermination of a entire region of HUMAN BEINGS here.

1. Human Beings aren't roaches you sociopath.

2. And how arrogant could you make that last line there?

I don't know anything about that, but I do know that a good number of western countries have a very ugly history that many of us want to see turned around. If your thinking America, is it really surprising that the white men in control of that country whose entire history is built on bloodshed and conquering admires another white conqueror? Only problem in their eyes probably was that he wasn't their conqueror.

I don't think "Government Officials" counts as whole countries, either. Because, since we're already deep in the politic hole here, recent history has proven that most government officials doing the main representing are out of touch, selfish, and foolish beyond measure. I mean, we've got a entire damn Congress that refuses to do its job, solely because they don't like the guy they're supposed to work with.

If I'm evil then so were the Americans for doing it to the Japanese for exactly the same reason in 1945.

But they were headed for mass self destruction in 1945. Now look at them! They are one of the most peaceful countries in the world, with an armed forces strictly for home defence ONLY. Their economy is based around making and developing technology.

Want to know why they're one of the most peaceful countries in the world? It's because they realized as a collective that this whole killing other people and committing atrocities in the name of patriotism, xenophobia, and revenge is a horrible thing to do. I don't know if you're trying to imply that the Interment Camps had anything to do with them being better, and I truly hope you aren't. But it was the dropping of bombs from the U.S, an act of deterrence AND revenge, as well as the uncovering of the actions committed by their own people, that made most of the country of Japan say "Hey, maybe we should NOT kill each other anymore!"

Everything the people in the quotes I've posted, including you, have said goes completely against that.

I'm saying that the nuclear attacks made by the US convinced them that they either carried on and got obliterated by weapons they couldn't fight against, or they put down their weapons and find a better way to live. If you doubt that nuclear weapons stopped the war and prevented mass suicide on their part, then I suggest that you ask any historian and they'll confirm what I've said. All Japanese families were prepared to become martyrs for their Emperor on the event of an American invasion, and those two nukes made them realise that their struggle was fruitless.

I'm all for blowing the radicals to kingdom come. I'm not in favor of genocide in order to accomplish that goal. We do that and we're no better than they are. In fact, that might even make us worse because we should know better.

Different war, different scenario and different circumstances. You can't just drop nukes in the middle-east. There's millions of innocent civilians who have nothing to do with ISIS, Jihad or anything related to that. That's mass murder.

As I said earlier up, the attacks on europeans cities is coming from young radicalized men, so they must be stopped there. ISIS are recruiting from those young men, who either travels to Syria to fight, or stay in their countries to make attacks there from within the borders. This isn't a war where the borders are clearly defined when it comes to the terrorist attacks.

And people might wanna tone their arguments down a bit, or I see a thread lock in the future. :whisper:

There is a possible alternative. Didn't IS recently take over a city in Syria? If so that would make an idea target for a bug bomb.

Guys....

Can we keep the plans for eradication down?

It's one thing to discuss the past and contemplate whether it was a mistake and its motives, and a while other thing to essentially request we turn a section of the planet into a glass parking lot.

Chill, or I'll end up having to get the mods to lock it and that will disappoint me.

Page 1: RIP poor innocent Belgians. :( How could anyone do something so horrible?

Page 3: We must immediately murder thousands of innocent Syrians, it's the only right way!

Most of you should know the rules by now.

This thread has gone way too far.
