Ok, so this has been my first time playing skyrim, (I'm playing the legendary edition), and I've finished the dawnguard questline, gotten married, bought a house, beat the thieves guild questline, and pretty much done a ton of stuff on my game. I've seriously spent almost all my spare time on it recently. This has seriously been my life's work recently. I've put in a ton of work that I just can't let go. So, what just happened is I was playing and all of a sudden this screen comes up and says that there's an update. It looked normal, like you usually get. So anyway, I download the update, and I guess I wasn't paying attention or something when I pressed A because I thought I was going into my saved game right? So anyway next thing I know the starting scene is starting up. So I made sure I was in the right profile and everything and right now all the game wants to tell me is that it's gone. Completely erased from the face of the Earth. NO! I absolutely, 100% REFUSE to accept this. I've got this idea that I could try and recover the files just like you normally would on a PC. I just need to make the hard drive readable and probably use some software to read it. I'm pretty sure there's one call Party Buffalo Drive Explorer that I can use. So once I'm in I think I should be able to just move the document back over to it's original spot.
